Canada: Gas busts through $1 barrier

The Regina Leader-Post in Saskatchewan tells readers to "Ride a bike!" after prices broke through the $1/litre mark. The Canadian paper reports that some service stations needed new signs to accomodate record-setting prices. ($1.05 Canadian per liter works out to about $2.65 per gallon U.S.)

    Uh, that seems wrong (all figures from Google Calculator):

    1 US gallon = 3.7854118 liters

    3.7854118 times 1.05 = 3.97468239

    so you get 1 US gallon for $3.97 canadian dollars, and...

    3.97468239 Canadian dollars = 3.38501441 U.S. dollars

    So $CA 1.05/liter = $US 3.39/gal, unless I'm mistaken somewhere.
