The family and I spent a splendid day biking up from Waddell Beach along the Waddell Creek portion of the Skyline to the Sea Trail in Big Basin Redwoods State Park. Waddell Beach is known around the world for wind surfing.
Bikes are allowed for about five miles on the trail, at which point we locked up at the bike rack to continue up the trail on foot.
Along the trail we saw several giant banana slugs.
Our destination today was the Berry Creek Waterfall.
My family really liked this trail today.
I hope you're having a wonderful Easter weekend!
And a happy Easter to you and yours as well.
ReplyDelete...nice little bike family chronicle on a beautiful sunny day...
ReplyDelete...my best to you & the family, fritz, but banana slugs...ewwwhhh !!!...
Thanks guys. My daughter thinks banana slugs are cool :-). She's been warned by her older brother not to handle them though -- he has firsthand experience with their prodigious slime output.

ReplyDeleteLooks like you all had a great Easter. Great shot of your daughter on the trail-a-bike.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, the redesign is nice too. Very clean.
Thanks all. The old design kind of evolved over time and I knew quite some time ago that it needed a redo. I finally bit the bullet over the weekend, killed off the old and started over with this.
