City officials and police in Camdem, UK are warning cyclists to stay off of the sidewalks and ride on the road where they belong. "The fact is that it is extremely dangerous to ride bikes on the pavement," says Kentish Town ward councillor Lucy Anderson.
"There have been so many accidents outside my shop with cyclists crashing into pedestrians," according to Jake Morgan, of Morgan's Stationery, Kentish Town Road.
Note to our American readers: "Pavement" is UK-speak for "sidewalk."
