Bicyclist ticketed for...

I like this idea: receiving citations for pure bicycle awesomeness:

When photographic artist Leanne Eisen left the Scotiabank Theatre on Monday following a screening of Ponyo, she was surprised to find this piece of blue paper wrapped around the handlebars of her vintage bicycle. At first, she only saw the words, "Your bicycle has been ticketed because…"
Find the rest of the story at Torontoist.

  1. ..."Eisen's ride is a classic Dutch Batavus city bike inherited from her grandmother" THAT is freaking cool !!!...

...just riding a dutch city bike is cool but having acquired it from yer gramma ???...beyond the beyond in coolness factoring...

  2. ...and if you read the comments, you'd note that her grandmother CROCHETED A SEAT COZY. Put that thing on that ride and people fall at feet at worship you as the new messiah of cool.

Wow, I don't think I realized until right now that grandma had become so damn hip.

  3. Might just have to make some of those tickets.

  4. This sort of thing happens to me all the time too, especially if there are any impressionable young women in the area. They just seem to worship my awesomeliciousness.
